The Lärchwand funicular


The The Lärchwand inclined elevator is the broadest track vehicle of the world. He goes on rails with a gauge of 8200 mm and ascend 431m (1413 ft). Already in 1941 he was brought on line. Originally he was built as a transport equipment for the construction of the power station Glockner-Kaprun. Today thousands of tourists go with it to the high mountain artificial lake.
